She was tough, demanded a lot, was never a softy, but when she found out that I would not be able to go to France during summer because of financial reasons, she invited me to spend the 3 weeks her and a friend in the South of France. All I had to do was pay a part of the food bill. A few years later, I was already married, we did the same thing. This time sharing the drive and the cost. She is truly the reason why I became a French/Music/Drama teacher and I owe her a lot! No matter who you were or what you did he always had something nice and encouraging to say. I have never ever heard him raise his voice to anyone---that's saying something with a bunch of hormone filled, authority challenging teenagers and juvenile delinquents. I wish he was still teaching because we need teachers like him more than ever. I will always remember how proud and supportive he was of me. Luckily for me I count him among one of my friends today.
