NEW Little Yellow Bicycle from CHA

I know that most people are still in full swing of summer, but it won't be long until the kiddos report back to school and  experience another year of learning and fun.  Little Yellow Bicycle is ready for the memories with our BRAND NEW Makin' the Grade collection.  This collection has a great balance of bright colors grounded in kraft paper and cork.  My daughter is ready for the first day - pigtails and all...
As always, LYB has included some really fun Fresh Verse Stickers along with many other embellishments like the more "grown up" school bus.
This collection has potential for more mature layouts, like this one of a high school graduation.  There is enough versatility to save school memories from Kindergarten to high school.
A little bakers twine wrapped around the patterned paper and secured with a fun paper clip give this layout a lot more dimension.  I like to use Tombo's Mono Glue to keep the twine in place.
The kraft cardstock makes a perfect background for the cards and the paper kit has some really fun award decorations.

It was fun to use this middle sized nesting suitcase to alter it like a lunchbox with the Makin' the Grade 5 Things Pocket.  I love the little owl embellishment with the Fresh Verse Stickers.
The pocket holds 5 different cards, one for each day of the week to write little lunch notes to the owner of the lunchbox.  I bet this 5 Things Pocket could be attached to the inside of a real lunch box for the same effect of sending special notes to your beloved student.
I thought it would be easy to write the notes on post its and then stick it to the card for the day of the week and then the cards could be reused each day and week.

I'll be back tomorrow with another post from Simple Stories.  Hope you are as excited as I am about all of the CHA releases.  It is going to be an amazing fall and winter!

Take care -
