Summer CHA Part 2

CHA day 2 was just as much fun as day 1 and I got to hang out with Lindsay Bowerman a bit at the Pebbles Booth. She is half of the brilliance behind the Pebbles Graphic Designers (the talented Josh was not in attendance). The two of them have created some of the cutest and wonderful collections for this release. Last week I posted Cats and Dogs, which was created by Josh - but take a look at....

Pebbles New Arrival was created by Lindsay and is a gorgeous baby line with traditional elements, but a few modern twists like the super fun embossed papers. Wait until you touch the polka dot papers - they are really beautiful and add such a unique texture to a project. These are wonderful papers for babies, but they can easily be used for other occasions and the brand new felt pieces are both darling and versatile.

Matching 3x3 envelopes, pearl Candy Dots and felt embellishments are some of the other new Pebbles products in this line.

It has been a really fun show so far this week and I am having a blast, but I am also really missing the two little stinkers below and looking forward to going home....but I will have some more photos to post tomorrow too.

On Blueberry Hill

Check out the BRAND new Nikki Sivils Blueberry Hill collection! Oh my...these are some of the yummiest colors for summer... I love the deep blue weave paper and blue checks along with the deep green. It was the perfect color palette for these photos of my daughter playing in the grass. I used a block style for the layout to show off some of the 6x6 Blueberry Hill patterned papers. Then to break up the blue, green and white palette, I added some of the yellow accents from the collection with sunflowers and mixed in the orange sicker letters from the My Friend Birdie collection. Both of these collections are being released at CHA next week and will be available soon...
The yellow ampersand is a Pebbles Chip - I love the way it breaks up the title. Those darling little burlap buttons are adhesive and one of Nikki's awesome embellishments. They come in a few different sizes and colors and are an easy/perfect touch to a layout.
I cannot get enough of these little craft flags and and just added a Pebbles Rubon to dress it up. I also added one of Nikki's corduuroy brads for an extra accent.

Check Out My Project with Twitterpated
I am totally in love with the Pebbles Twitterpated collection! It has some of the most beautiful pinks, yellows and browns that mix so well with the other Pebbles Collections. This is one of my favorite layouts about my daughter and I tried to incorporate as many photos as I could. Thank goodness for wallet-sized photos. I just love to use them....
I used the American Crafts Salutation Thicker in brown for my alphabet, because I love the font and the soft feel to the letters.
I {HEART} the adorable little chipboard pieces that come with the amazing Twitterpated collection. Theya are so sweet and BEAUTIFULLY crafted. All you need to do is stick them to the page and you are ready to go.
Pebbles has the cutest rub-ons and they go on like butter. I just adjusted this rub-on to fit my circle journal card and decorated it with chipboard and ribbon.

Mix & Match at Pebbles

Each day on the Pebbles Blog there is a new theme or challenge to think about.  My task for this layout of my daughter and our dog was to Mix and Match two or more Pebble collections.  So I chose to combine the Tree House and May Bouquet collections.  At first sight, they don't really look like they go together, but the yellows and greens in the Tree House collection were a perfect match for the May Bouquet floral paper I chose because of how it complements the photo.  But...then I thought it would be fun to add a pop of red with the Tree House Chipboard and Red Candy Dots, which created a nice contrast. Finally to finish it off, I added some of the May Bouquet rub-ons.
See what I mean about how different they are, but how the greens and yellows match each other perfectly.
I love the American Crafts Salutations Thickers because of the unique font and how well they go with the Pebbles collections.
The "Smile" sentiment is a May Bouquet rub-on that I partially framed with a Pebbles Chip parenthesis.  I also added a Pebbles Chip flower and May Bouquet Chip heart.
Isn't this Tree House chipboard butterlfy adorable?  I made the butterfly trail with some sticker gems of various sizes.  Please visit the Pebbles Store to purchase any of these items.  I just love the new collections.

Whip it Up at Pebbles

This week at Pebbles, my task was to create a project in less than 30 minutes. I decided to create a Thank You card with a few tips...When you just have a few minutes to whip something up, start with a simple design and add a few novel embellishments to make it special. For this thank you card, I used an easy squared layer effect, but added a some twists. Pop dots to the journal card lift it off the page for added effect, while the white stamped border makes the layers stand out on the project. Tying on a contrasting yellow bow and adding a few red Candy Dots to the journal card, give it a little extra appeal and the unique font of the thank you rub-on provides a some nice quirkiness. This card took me a total of 20 minutes to create. I also used the NEW Tree House collection along with Pebbles ribbon, candy dots and rub-ons.

Pebbles May Bouquet

It's May Bouquet week on the Pebbles Blog, so please stop by to see what the DT girls have created with this amazing collection. I love the soft pastel colors in the May Bouquet line and especially how it coordinates with many of the Pebbles Ribbons and Candy Dots. I also really like how Kraft paper has made a comeback in the industry and was pleased with how well the patterned papers coordinated with it. I used a Martha Stewart Loops punch on the purple side of the Patio paper to make it pop against the beautiful floral pattern on the other side. The green polka dot ribbon made a perfect bow and focal point from which to attach the word sticker with some pop dots for added dimension.

Totally Twitterpated

This layout was created with the Brand NEW Twitterpated collection from Pebbles. This line is such a nice balance of bright and soft. At first sight it seems like this collection is super bright, but it is grounded in brown and cream and there is a subtle softness to the papers. I am in love with the paper flowers, because they have some very unique shapes and textures. The different sizes allow you to add a candy dot as a flower center and call it good. There are also plenty of journal cards and stickers, alphabet stickers and glitter candy dots to compliment the collection.
My daughter has the best time dressing up as her American Girl, so I wanted to capture this time in her life and thought the You and Me sentiment from the Twitterpated collection was the perfect match. I cannot believe what a phenomenon the American Girl products are for little girls. We went to the grand opening of the Denver store and waited in line for 2 hours to get into the store. My daughter was in heaven and my son mostly had a melt down. LOL!

BTW - you can purchase this collection right HERE.
