We have been experiencing some typical "Spring" weather here in the rocky mountains and the days are peppered with snow/rain/sunshine, sometimes all at the same time, and the thermometer doesn't seem to want to warm up. So, a couple of weeks ago I packed the kids in the car and drove two hours to Grand Junction in search of better weather and as we were driving watched the temperature go up 25 degrees. When we got there, we found a beautiful park and just played for the afternoon. This is a photo of my son from that day and I just love the expression on his face.
This layout is a sneak of my sketch tomorrow. Wait until you see what the guest designers have created. They did a fantastic job with the sketch. Stay tuned...
I have been trying to push myself to try more techniques on my layouts, so I incorporated some hand stitching on this layout. I was tempted to try this, because most of the goodies on this layout came in a kit from the Paper Poppy, which is a club my friend Aphra Bolyer has just started and she included some green embroidery thread in the kit along with all the Jenni Bowlin and Cosmo Cricket goodness. Please visit Aphra's site here for more information about her club. She is about to send out the April Kits which are full of exciting products.
