MCS March Reveal

My Creative Scrapbook has done it again with a delightful main kit this month featuring loads of Prima's Strawberry Kisses. It doesn't get much better than this when you have Prima Marketing on your side. The paper, crystals and flowers are the perfect essentials. I had so much fun with this layout. To me the papers just scream, "cut me up," so I took an old KI Memories sheer die cut and traced the shape on this Prima paper. For the butterfly trail, I added bits of bling to give it a unique look. The photo of my daughter is slightly muted to match the softness of the papers and flowers.


I used my Cricut a lot for this layout. Again, I think the papers just scream, "cut me up," so I used some of the other patterned papers to make the green flourishes and the white letter 'M' using my Calligraphy cartridge that I found at Walmart.

MCS March Sneak Peeks

Can you say Prima??? Cause that is what is in the main kit at My Creative Scrapbook this month and it is loaded with Prima Strawberry Kisses goodness. I could not get enough of the March kit and had so much fun putting together a couple of projects with this GORGEOUS masterpiece of a kit that Pam has created to share with her members. We cannot wait for the full REVEAL on Friday, March 5th!

Tuesday Mornings

I want hair like this! Don't you?

I was recently discussing hair product with some of my friends and realized I had gotten lazy. I've been justifying supermarket shampoos when I know it is a big "no no" especially on color treated hair. So...I checked out my favorite online store amazon.com for my favorite salon shampoo and what luck to find that they are happily "married" in consumerism. Not to mention, it was on sale and with my Prime membership was delivered for free in two days. Why have I been so lazy???

Here are some things you should know about really good shampoo and conditioner. Even though it costs more than supermarket brands, it lasts a lot longer because you do not have to use such a big glop to get a lather if you KWIM. Also, REALLY good product won't leave any residue or wax build up on your hair and gives it a light, youthful feel. They are more gentle on color treated hair and stretch that visit to your colorist, which in turn saves you even more money. I could go on, but I bet you get the point.

That's my two cents for today and like I said you can find Pureology on amazon.com on sale, but I would be willing to bet that there are some shoppers out there that could find it even cheaper. Let me know if you do.

Imaginsice Sketch Challenge

It's that time again, the first of the month and Imaginisce is having a sketch challenge with a prize worth $50 for participants who enter the drawing. This is my take on Erin Bassett's sketch, which was really fun to work with and a treat since I don't often get to work with other artists sketches. BTW - I used my Cricut Calligraphy cartridge to make the large and small swirls and this layout features the Lucy Bird collection along with the Jenni Bowlin die cut.
