Official Monthly Sketch Challenge

Okay...it's about time I get a little more organized and give people another reason to hang out here. How about an opportunity to win a little RAK each month for using my sketches?

At the end of each month, I will post all of the sketches from that month. Participants will have a week to link any work done with my sketches to the Official Challenge post and then will be entered into a drawing. The more sketches you use and links you make, the more times you will be entered into the drawing. Then at the end of the final week, I will announce the winner for the month and post their work and links to my blog. Cool?

Here is this month's RAK. I just LOVE Crate Paper and the Lemon Grass line is perfect for late summer or fall projects. This kit is loaded with plenty of fun things to get you going. Please see all of the sketches from May below. I will draw for a winner on June 7th. Hope to see many of you posting a link to your layout in the comments section of my post. - Liz

Sunday Sketch, May 31st

I'm fascinated by multiple photos, because my instinct is always to choose the "best" photo and just scrap it. There are some photos that are perfect by themselves, but there are others that look really cool in a grouping of photos. This sketch is my attempt to help organize how you can use multiple photos in a really appealing way, so they don't overwhelm the page and look sloppy. Let me know your thoughts on this one, or how it turns out for you.

I have been dying to use my Fancy Pants Summer Soiree papers for a few months now, but you know how life goes and so many other projects come up and things get put on the back burner. I stayed up really late last night working on this one and am really happy with the result. The papers are gorgeous and really mix and match perfectly. I don't think my photo does them justice. I also used this little alphabet that I grabbed from the $1.99 bin at Archivers. I just wish I had grabbed a few more sets, because it is so perfect with these papers. In real life, the letters look like wood. The flowers are Bazzill Tropical Ruby. Thank you for stopping by - Liz

Sunday Sketch, May 24th

Still sketching on my journey with circles...how about half circles this week? I also wanted to do something that can easily be feminine or masculine.

This layout is of my son. The irony of the layout is that I made it as part of my design team work for My Creative Scrapbook with Cosmo Cricket's Girl Friday papers. Please don't tell him the name of the papers, because I think this is a super cute little boy page :)

Thank you for stopping by - Liz
