Star Ornament Tutorial

To create this ornament:

Imaginisce Materials:
  • Polar Expressions Frosted Forest Paper – 2 sheets
  • Polar Expressions rub ons
  • Poinsettias – 2 flowers
  • Large Paper Punch
  • Large Brad Daddies - 1
  • iTop tool
  • Large Die Carriage

Other Materials:
  • Martha Stewart Branch Punch
  • Ink Pad
Step 1 – Create a template for the star arms using cardboard.


Step 2 - Trace the template around the white trees with red ornaments on the patterned paper.


Step 3 – Cut out 10 of the star arms.


Step 4 – Ink the edges of the star arms for more definition.


Step 5 – Punch small holes in the star arms for the brad.


Step 6 – Punch a flower out with the large punch and apply a red bird rub on to the center of the punched out brad flower.


Step 7 – Use the iTop tool to press together the brad and backing.


Step 8 – Use bird brad to hold together two poinsettia flowers and all of the star arms.


Step 9 – Add green punched branches for interest.


Step 10 – Tie on red string with a bead and a tag.
