Hope you all don't mind a week with just me.... the guest designers will be back next week. I just needed to take a little break and roll out some stuff I already had put together. I've been digging out from under since August and just now getting caught up. I know this sketch is a little unorthodox with the big huge dinosaur, but it is really meant to show off the layout I created below. This sketch is definitely eligible for the October Sketch Challenge - and no you don't have to include the big ole' dino, but I kinda dare you to use one in your project - or something along the same lines :)
These are the cuter than cute Dino-Roar papers and embellishments from Imaginisce! They are shipping to stores as I write this, or maybe they are already there. In any case - you have to have them!!! I love the colors and the dinosaurs are adorable, perfect for a little man like mine - who is totally obsessed with dinosaurs.
I used my Cricut to cut the letters in the title with the Feeling Groovy cartridge and the shadow feature. Then I found some old American Crafts thickers that were the perfect shade of green to match (don't you just love it when that happens?) I also used the brand new Dino Tracks Cricut cartridge to cut the dinosaur - so easy. Then I added some gems with my iRock to finish it off.
I cannot use my Dymo label maker enough. It is the lazy woman's way of adding journaling without having to exert more energy to use my computer. Journal strip says, "Never get in the way of a little boy and his dinosaur." As if we should all know better...mine will pop you on top of the head with his dinosaur if you are not watching out - much to my poor daughter's chagrin.
Just in case you were freaking out about the very large DINOSAUR smack in the middle of your page, here is the sketch without him. However, I do have to say that it is really quite boring without it.
Thank you so much for stopping by -

Ouch... being smacked on the head by a prehistoric monster has gotta hurt! This is such a gorgeous layout and the sketch is going to put the challenge 'out there'. Can't wait to see if anyone takes up your dare and uses a big dino on their page.
I like it so much ! this sketch is so amazing !
Biz !
I have been so pleased with your sketches and I rejoice that I found your blog. I think I found it through Pamela Young over at Scrapbook Challenges. Your sketches rock!!
