Sunday Sketch and *New* Guest Designers

You can't go wrong with pretty flowers and ribbon and I know you can always add more photos to your layouts, so why not use two this week??? Check out what the amazing Guest Designers did with my sketch below...

Robbie Herring is our featured guest designer this week. Not only is she my partner in crime on many occasions and one of my best scrappy friends, she is also a master at creating layouts with ribbon and flowers. I made this sketch with her in mind and as you can see, she really demonstrated how to glamorize it to show off the three beautiful girls in the photos. Robbie is a born and bred Texan who has been married 23 years and has two great kids to inspire her. She is an incurable craft junkie who has tried just about everything and in addition to scrapbooking, enjoys sewing and painting.

Here is what Robbie had to say about her bows, "I am a ribbon fanatic! I make all my own package bows and my daughter used to have bows for all of her outfits when she was little. I even sold some of my bows because people were always asking where I got them to match her all of her clothes so well. You can find a tutorial on how to tie bows like I do - here."

Please visit Robbie's blog Just the Scrap to learn more about Robbie and to see more details of her wonderful work.

Lynn Biermann , who is one of my favorite designers due to her distinctive style and attention to detail, did some amazing work with my sketch this week. Here is what she had to say about using the sketch. "When I start with one of Liz’s sketches, I never know where it will end up! A perfect example is the March 07 sketch which I with two photos & ended up with one! I interpreted her ribbon across the bottom as my title work. I kept the layers & die cut point & was inspired by her butterfly to add a few more! I love the sketch & found it very fun to use! Looking forward to seeing what others do with the same sketch!"

Please visit Lynn's blog Pretty Paper Swirls to learn more about Lynn and to see details of her amazing work.

Michelle Unruh is a talented designer who I have been admiring. She really knows how to choose a color palette and this layout is no exception. I am always so impressed with how she interprets my sketches and her work is beautiful. Check out the gorgeous photos on this layout and how Michelle turned the title around to keep the focus on them. Here is what she had to say about creating with sketches, "I use sketches all the time to create my layouts because my pages just seem to flow better."

Please visit her blog Happenings on this side of the river... to learn more about Michelle and details about her work.

Thank you so much for stopping by and feel free to leave the guest designers some love for their gorgeous work with my sketch this week.
